Additional project results: collaboration between the participating communities is established among between Tomashpil (UA) and Sauca (MD) A preliminary agreement on cooperation was made among Tomashpil town council (Ukraine) and Sauca village (Moldova) with the support from Euroregion “Dniester” during the Study Visit under the project “Good Governance in Local Communities: V4 Experience of Strategic planning for EaP Countries” on September 8-20, 2017.
A Mayor of Tomashpil town Valerii Nemyrovskiy expressed the hope that signing this Agreement would provide an opportunity to implement mirror-image European Union projects. - Having international partners together with signing this Agreement will allow for writing and implementing projects as well as raising funds from EU that we will be able to use to develop our communities, – Mr Nemyrovskyi said. On October 9, 2017 a delegation from Tomashpil headed by Valerii Nemyrovskiy undertook a working visit to Sauca, the village in Ocnita District, Moldova. The aim of the visit was to sign a Cooperation Agreement and to build partnerships between Tomashpil and Sauca. - There are only 70 km between us and it’s very not so far for efficient collaboration and conducting joint meetings or visits. This Agreement provides new opportunities to exchange experiences and, what is more important, for attracting investments through the implementation of joint projects, – the Mayor of Sauca village Iraida Jitari said. The delegation visited the village administration, a museum named after a famous Moldavian poet Petru Zadnipru, a gymnasium and a kindergarten in Sauka. Also the Ukrainian delegation attended Annual Teodor Nagera Folk Song Festival, which took place in this village. And on October 14, 2017, Mr. Nemyrovskii together with members of Tomashpil town council warmly welcomed the delegation from Moldova headed by the Mayor of Sauca village Iraida Jitari. The delegation visited Tomashpil within framework of celebration the Defender of Ukraine Day. They visited Tomashpil town council, a children creative house and a kindergarten “Sonechko”. At the end of celebration guests from the Republic of Moldova visited a closure show of Vinnytsia musical fountain.
