A Study Visit in the framework of the project “Good Governance in Local Communities: V4 Experience of Strategic planning for EaP Countries”, which took place on September 8-20, 2017, provided a good basis for future cooperation among territorial communities from Ukraine, Moldova and Poland.
A preliminary agreement on cooperation was made among Horodkivka village (UA), Vasilcau village (MD) and gmina Pniewy (PL) with the support from Euroregion “Dniester”. A mayor of Horodkivka village Oleksandr Havryliyk admitted that one of conditions for writing projects was availability of international partners.
- We are going to implement joint projects together with Poland and Moldova. A common topic may become the creation of a recreation area for the residents of our communities. We also want to improve the quality of our territorial communities. And for this, the exchange of international experience is very important, - Oleksandr Havryliyk said.
- We wish to achieve real results for our communities. We also plan to organize cultural and sports events for children and adults, – the Mayor of Vasilcau village Gheorghe Cojocaru added.
After the Study Visit, on October 1, 2017 a delegation from Horodkivka undertook a working visit to the Republic of Moldova. The aim of the visit was to build partnerships between above mentioned territorial communities as well as to discuss areas of further cooperation. The delegation included a mayor of Horodkivka village Havryliyk O., a headmaster of a local school Melnyk T., members of the village council Zanoza T., and Oliynyk L. and also an art director of Culture House Mamalyha B.
The Ukrainian delegation visited the village administration, a school and a kindergarten in Vasilcau.
